All the hooks come with brass shanks, these shanks are tapered which makes it easy to insert in the backing fabric and "open" the hole to pull the loop through. The hooks vary in shank size from fine to primitive.

Ergo Hooks
Our Ergo hooks have palm handles with a thumb spot (ergonomic - choose left or right handed for correct placement of thumb spot) that keeps the hook pointed in the right position. They have bent shanks to reduce the wrist action.
